Homeless Man Admits Setting Fires

A 45YO homeless man has admitted to setting 20 to 25 small “smudging” fires on Tubbs Hill since last summer, including some over the weekend. A resident who saw him set one of the recent fires provided a detailed description to fire investigators. Earlier today, city authorities found the man. He claims he did not know it was unlawful to have open fires on Tubbs Hill. He will be charged with a misdemeanor offense of burning on public property.
