JeanC: Cydney Was A Sweet Car
JeanC: The Beast eventually gave up the ghost and I sold it to the local junker for enough money to get me gas to get me and my new car to Vancouver BC to see my future hubby. Cydney was a sweet car, a 2003 Ford Escort who had totally loved my hubby (even tho I’d bought her for me) and had the dexterity and sure-footedness of a mountain goat when it came to getting him out of some hairy situations. Question: Do you name your vehicles? What is the name of your current vehicle?
Oh they do. I remember my first car, a 1978 Mercury Bobcat station wagon. This car had personality thru the roof and a temper to match. At first we got along fine, but as time went on things turned dark. My mechanic would call for a priest when I brought it in, full expecting to have an exorcism performed. I did a lot of the maintenance on it myself and it usually ran great once I contributed some of my own blood in the process.

We ended up selling her to a friend as we’d gotten the Forester and she never was the same. Poor thing was fatally wrecked in an accident a couple years ago. I will forever wish I’d never let her go.
I should mention someone bought the Beast and got it back on the road a few months after I sold it. Not sure how long they kept it running, it’s been a few years since I last saw it about town.
