More Info: Washington State Senator Bob McCaslin has proposed changing the name of the country to “The United Socialist States of America”. McCaslin, a republican from Spokane Valley, said the country is in a “not-so-slow creep towards socialism” given the number of bailouts and government takeovers of private industries. In a press release McCaslin said, “Our country is seeing some fundamental changes, and its name should reflect those truths.”

Question: Do you agree with state Sen. Bob McCaslin, R-Spokane Valley, that this country is moving toward a socialist state? Or are we simply employing desperate measures to address tough times?
