Poolman:
Unfortunately most yard sales are pure junk with maybe two items of
value that are snatched the very moment the seller steps out the door,
by “professional” yard sale-ers. The cherry wood book case and mahogany
end table set are gone in minutes, but the old tape recorder and the 7
iron-less 1975 Power Built golf club set with the Lee Trevino insignia
will be there all day long. Why bother I’m not going pro in the junk
biz - there can be only one Fred Sanford.
Question: What is the greatest treasure that you’ve found at a yard sale? Or: Do you agree with Poolman that most yard sales hawk only junk?
