Toad: Susan Boyle Isn’t Ugly
Toadman: Truth be told, I don’t find (Susan Boyle) ugly…plain, maybe, but there is beauty in plain, there is beauty in real, all the plumped up plastic people who inject botulism into their skin are a lot more ugly, to me, than she ever could be, and not because they’re physically ugly, because they’re fake. They don’t like who they are, so they try to be something else. Also, there’s definitely beauty in Boyle’s personality, and her voice. Full post below .
Question: Let’s concede that most people are ordinary looking. What percentage of people do you consider truly good looking? Or truly ugly? Are you comfortable around good-looking people?
When I say she’s “ugly,” I’m actually making fun of our conventional ideas of “pretty” vs. “ugly.” i.e., what we’re TOLD is pretty, and ugly, by our magazines, our television shows, and etc..etc..

Maybe someday, when humanity grows up, we’ll realize that Ms. Boyle is actually one of the beautiful people…beautiful, like every human being on the planet is beautiful, in their own way.
