EPA declaration a scare tactic

The Spokesman-Review

Congratulations, EPA, for declaring carbon dioxide to be a toxic substance harmful to humans. What a triumph of scare-mongering! Now people can become frightened about what they exhale and what most Earth vegetation requires to grow.

Because human-related CO2 emissions comprise only about 4 percent of total greenhouse gases, not to mention the fact that over the last decade global climate has hardly behaved as the warming advocates’ computer models have predicted, many scientists have become increasingly skeptical about the ranting of warming alarmists.

By far, the most potentially causative greenhouse gas to global warming is water vapor. If government really wants to attack greenhouse gases, why not extend its Orwellian policies by also taxing steam? The principal causes for global climate changes are unpredictable, enormous natural forces totally beyond human control. The policy to tax CO2 and maybe water vapor will be a wonderful government revenue-raising scheme which will dearly cost citizens, but will do little to affect climate change.
