McMorris Rodgers is right

The Spokesman-Review

As I was reading the letter by Mr. Sturgeon (Aug. 5), I noticed one of his sources was that “fair and balanced” network MSNBC. If that wasn’t enough to discredit him, the comments about Rep. McMorris Rodgers should be.

I would venture to say that nearly every politician has taken money from those “evil” pharmaceutical and insurance companies. You need look no further than Democratic congressmen Dingell and Waxman, co-chairs of the Energy and Commerce committee.

I have no idea whether Obama is a legal citizen or not, but I know he could shut up the “kooks” by producing his birth certificate.

While I haven’t agreed with everything the congresswoman has done, I am pleased that she is standing in the way of a government takeover of one-seventh of the U.S. economy. Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are broke. It’s laughable to believe the government wouldn’t screw up health care, as well.

The congresswoman backs a plan that focuses on “wellness and prevention initiatives” as well as “rooting out waste, fraud and abuse and reining in frivolous lawsuits.” What about that is an “embarrassment and an impediment to reforms”?
