Paper shows its worth
The need to maintain the presence and health of physical newspapers was graphically illustrated in the July 28 Spokesman-Review.
The competing Internet is a wealth of information, yet the importance of a discovery by a neurobiologist in Massachusetts that the human adult brain, contrary to conventional wisdom, can be retrained (“Retraining the Brain,” Page C1) likely would have been lost in the vast Internet.
And that discovery is huge. Potential beneficiaries from that discovery, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress, are the 10 percent of our school-age children with ADHD and learning disabilities.
Thank you, Spokesman, for working for us.
