Hump Day Wild Card — 10.12.09

Sometimes, I wonder if I should post the Wild Card sooner in the day, for busy people like Beth Bollinger, who have links to post but have to be somewhere else by the time 10:30 (usual Wild Card post time) rolls around. For Beth’s sake, I’ll post the two links she wants to bring to your attention: Stephen Hawking has weighed in on UK health care (after Investors Business Daily said he would have died under UK health care - not realizing he is a Brit) - Hawking says, ” I wouldn’t be here today if it were not for the NHS. I have received a large amount of high-quality treatment without which I would not have survived .” Link here .
