Deputies’ dogs overheat, too
What? Is this a joke? County deputies leave their dogs in cars in the heat (“Teen’s gift helps keep K-9s safe,” Aug. 13)? They arrest people for that! Without a device paid for by a 15-year-old girl, Deputy John Cook’s dog Ekko could have “suffered heat stroke or died while he was away from the car training with other K9 officers”? What about the other officers’ dogs?
Excuse me, but leaving any dog in a car in the summer is subject to cruelty to animals charges.
I would think K-9 officers, of all people, would not be that dumb.
