Spare cosmetology program

The Spokesman-Review

The Spokane Community College cosmetology program provides valuable vocational training for a large number of students. The cosmetology program helps to financially support itself with clients paying for services and student tuition. Despite the fact that there is a waiting list for students to enroll in the fall semester, classes have been drastically reduced. These potential students will have to go elsewhere or give up their dream of vocational training.

Clients like myself are willing to pay market rates for cosmetology services because of its high quality, the fact that hygiene is not an issue, and students are given practical work experience. I hope the SCC administration can find other ways to cut its budget – especially since this program brings in revenue.
