Spending is the problem
It’s fascinating to watch government spin-masters continuously create “crises” to distract us from America’s real problem: massive overspending. The swine flu “pandemic,” health care “crisis,” and the Obama birth certificate question are examples that divert us from the need to oust the crop of scoundrels infesting Washington, D.C. They masterfully manipulate the media to keep us from questioning the ever-expanding war in Afghanistan, corrupt bailouts and borrowing ourselves into oblivion.
It’s not a matter of who’s to be covered under Obamacare, or financing cap and trade, it’s a matter of unsustainable spending. According to David Walker, former head of the GAO, in the near future we will reach a breaking point in which we simply cannot meet our financial obligations and this nation will follow California by issuing IOUs instead of checks for government obligations. Think of the results when people no longer receive Social Security, welfare, unemployment and other checks, the military is no longer paid and Medicaid and Medicare no longer cover their bills. We’re facing America’s collapse while our Neros fiddle.
We have two simple choices: get involved and replace the present officeholders who refuse to reign in spending or watch this nation race toward the dust bin of history.
