Tuesday Video - Summer Parkways in Spokane

There are several local groups, including Futurewise, The Lands Council , City of Spokane, Spokane Regional Transportation Council (SRTC), Spokane County Commute Trip Reduction (CTR), Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD), and the YMCA-YWCA looking at feasibility of a Summer Parkways event here in Spokane.

Summer Parkways involve the closure of streets to vehicular traffic for a day or portion of a day in favor of walking, bicycling, rolling, and other non-motorized forms of transportation.Summer Parkways connect neighborhoods and people: walkers, runners, bikers, seniors, adults, and children can enjoy car-free neighborhood streets filled with a variety of activities along the route.
