Emotions clouding reason

The Spokesman-Review

It breaks my heart to see so many of our citizens willing to follow uncritically those loud-mouthed clowns who “want to see Obama fail.” Those clowns knowingly give forth lies, half-truths, exaggerations, misleading statements, omissions of actual statements of intent and qualifications.

Where were our citizens’ teachers, who should have been showing them how to use reason and logic, how to do reality checks, how to question the statements of radicals of any persuasion? They are being led around by their emotions, seeing threats where none exist, and allowing anger to rule their minds, to the detriment of us all.

If we are unable to start solving our problems today, because of those organized obstructionists, we will all regret it tomorrow.
