Middleman runs up costs
I feel the problem is that at least 50 percent of our citizens are naive about medical care. We should recognize that the fundamentals of “food, shelter and clothing” are to be noted and that medical care is part of same. If we turn medical care entirely over to the government, it would be one and the same as expecting the government to pay for our homes, clothes and food. These recognitions all relate fundamentally to help.
Furthermore, it is to be noted that if the government covers such, the money all comes from we citizens. It must cost more for us to hand our money to anyone else, insurance or government, to pay for same. It will cost less if we directly hand the money to a doctor or hospital.
Since we have gradually proceeded into this misunderstanding, it may be worthy to recognize that we have a “fire” which must be put out. The present moves may be in the direction of putting it out, but it should be recognized as such and in the process that when the fire goes out then a follow-up protective process should be carried out to prevent another fire.
