Oh boy! It could be worse

The Spokesman-Review

Incredible media articles are appearing with headlines like “Record deficit lower than expected,” “Unemployment rate lower than expected.” We are being force-fed doublespeak, positive/negative fabrications with expectations that the meltdown will be viewed as less traumatic than the actual numbers represent. While people are losing their homes and jobs, perhaps we should celebrate by declaring a national holiday to commemorate these unmitigated deceptions.

As this nation swirls down the financial rat hole and prints trillions of monopoly dollars, our so-called leaders loan billions to Brazil for their offshore oil exploration. The USA supposedly has the world’s largest untapped oil reserves but refuses to drill here and create needed jobs with resultant benefits.

This occluded puzzle becomes painfully clear when realizing that George Soros, a Democrat supporter, owns a chunk of Petrobras. This and numerous other deals are obvious power grabs, political paybacks and transfers of wealth. The duplicitous conglomerate of media and politicos is dishing out intellectually insulting verbal placebos and deleterious deals while condoning the looting and destruction of America. Why isn’t the media emphasizing the deceit that’s transforming this nation into a Third World banana republic?

Hopefully, the bankrupt Medicare system still has some much-needed Prozac.
