Brannon Wants Election Thrown Out
Jim Brannon is challenging Coeur d’Alene’s Nov. 3 election, alleging that inadmissible ballots
were counted in his five-vote loss to Seat 2 City Council incumbent Mike Kennedy. If the challenge is successful, a judge will decide what happens next. Represented by attorney Starr Kelso, of Kelso Law Office, the challenger passed on his opportunity to have the Idaho Attorney General’s office conduct a recount of the tightly contested race, and instead filed a complaint in First District Court on Monday to void the election on grounds of several procedural irregularities. “Every vote should have a voter,” Brannon said Monday. “That’s pretty simple”/

Question: Brannon claims that he’s not trying to indict city or county officials by filing his lawsuit? Do you think he is indicting those officials?
