Quick look around WSU this morning
COUGARS
Just a quick post this morning as there is very little to pass on. But we did find a couple links. Read on.

• There was a comment
on last night’s
post
about the game time tomorrow. Just so you know, the Spokane Chiefs have a hockey game in the Arena tomorrow night at 7, so the 1 p.m. start was mandated by the venue. It’s as late as the game could start and still have the court broken down in time for the hockey game. No value judgments here on whether its right to have a game the same day as fall graduation, just an explanation of the time. … Here’s the defense
feature
as it ran in the paper. … A couple of interesting Pac-10 football links, with ESPN.com’s Ted Miller picking a postseason All-Pac-10
team
that includes WSU center Kenny Alfred and making some
prognostications
concerning the NFL draft. … Also, we can’t link it because it’s a pay item, but Cougfan is reporting a verbal committment from junior college offensive lineman David Gonzalez from Fresno City College. He is one of the two JC tackles WSU really wanted to get into school this spring and, according to the article, that should happen.

• That’s it for this morning. We’ll be back this afternoon with our advance, the reasons behind WSU playing in Spokane. Until then …
