cheesey lines. No one is going to win any Oscars for acting. Those two
things I knew for sure. And being someone that is typically hyper
critical of those two specifics when it comes to rating movies, I was
bewildered that I couldn’t decide whether I liked it or not. After
getting home, my wife and I agreed that we were both a little “sensory

‘Avatar’ arrived, but will it deliver?

Question: Judging from Jimmy’s description, does “Avatar” sound like a movie you want to see?
I was even fond of the characters despite the acting. I’ve now had some time to come to my senses and I can say the visuals are epic. There are movies you go to and walk away thinking the special effects were incredible-but incredible doesn’t even come close to describing the experience. “Special effects” doesn’t even describe how stimulating the visuals are. Go see it, but don’t for a second see it minus the 3D experience.
