Meyer joins Shock

Spokesman-Review

Former Eastern Washington standout quarterback Erik Meyer will take his shot at arena football with the Spokane Shock.

Meyer threw for 10,261 yards and 84 touchdowns with only 17 interceptions in 42 games with Eastern, winning two Big Sky Conference offensive player of the year awards and the Walter Payton Award.

Since that time, Meyer has gained experience in the NFL, NFL Europe, and, most recently, with the CFL.

“I know that I’m going to find a way to get back to the NFL someday,” Meyer said. “And it starts with signing with the Shock and leading them to a championship.”
