Shoot! Eagles can’t; lose again

Eastern Washington men’s basketball coach Kirk Earlywine was probably wondering how his team would respond following last Saturday’s 91-34 loss to Brigham Young .

In any event, he found out Tuesday evening, when the cold-shooting Eagles were upset by lowly Chicago State in the opening round of the Las Vegas Classic.  You can read the game story that appeared in Wednesday morning’s S-R here, and access what EWU’s sports information department posted about the game here .

The Eagles play again at noon today against winless Jackson State, and we will post details of the game as soon as they become available.
