Riverside kids need your vote

The Spokesman-Review

To me, being a part of a small community is to support the education of our children. My family now has a fourth generation attending Riverside schools. I am proud of not only what I have learned but also of what my mother, her siblings, my brothers, my children and now my grandchildren have learned and are learning at Riverside schools. Now is the time to “pay it forward.”

Riverside schools will place before the voters a request to renew the expiring levy from 2006. This levy, if passed, will help provide school funding for 2010, 2011 and 2012. Approximately 11 percent of our school budget comes from the local community and state levy equalization funds an additional 6 percent.

On March 10, your “yes” vote on the replacement maintenance and operation levy will pay it forward for more generations of education excellence. Your “yes” vote will provide support for our schools and educational opportunities for our future.

I support Riverside School District because my community and family are important to me. Please vote yes!
