Greener Ireland
For DTE, this is news we’ll toast to.
The
Irish government wants to claim
10 percent of its vehicles electric by 2020. Energy and Transport ministers have set a goal of roughly 250,000 cars over the next 12 in the hopes of drawing foreign investement, and their plan allows businesses to write off 100% of the purchase cost of the vehicles.
To put Ireland’s emissions in perspective, according to the
“United States of Climate Change”
map, they’re roughly equivalent to the state of Oregon.
