Freedom unlikely

The Spokesman-Review

Talk about propaganda and hypocrisy; the Feb. 8 guest opinion by Beth Thew of the Spokane Regional Labor Council reeks with them.

Unions are pushing hard for what they dare to label the “Employee Free Choice Act.” Anyone who has ever had the occasion to risk life and limb to cross a union picket line knows how little respect unions and/or union members have for freedom of choice. They fight “tooth and nail” against “right to work” legislation because they do not want anyone to have freedom to choose not to join a union. Conscience and/or religious conviction be damned – individuals are “free” to join a labor union or starve. That’s their hypocritical notion of “freedom”!
