Sedaris returning to Spokane
This just in from Lois Hughes at Auntie’s Bookstore : David Sedaris is returning to Spokane to read from his latest book of essays.
Sedaris, who read at two Get Lit! events, will read from “When You Are Engulfed in Flames” at Auntie’s on 2 p.m. June 13 (which is a Saturday).
Sedaris proved to be one of the most successful readers that Get Lit! has ever brought to Spokane. He sold out events in 2003 and 2007 [ note: Sedaris read in 2003 and 2005 ], both of which were held in the 750-plus-seat Met (now the Bing Crosby Theater ).
As Hughes says in her press release, “Purchase of the book at Auntie’s is required for admission, photos are not allowed and we recommend that you bring a folding chair. That said, prepare for a memorable afternoon with a raconteur extraordinaire!”
