I cannot believe what I just read in Wednesday’s paper. Our government, in debt to our eyebrows, is issuing a new penny!

Where shall we store these, in a fancy carafe instead of the empty mayonnaise jar with the rest of the old pennies?

Why, when each cent costs more than a penny to mint? Does anyone really believe we should keep the penny to use in transactions?
