If ever you are looking for the ties that bind us here in Spokane, your search should start and stop with the Spokane River. The lifeline of our region, the Spokane River, as the Spokane River Forum so eloquently put it, “is our community signature as it weaves through rural, suburban and urban landscapes.”
It’s often easy to forget how lucky we are to have such a bountiful resource at our hands as the river, that, as the Spokane River Forum continues, “offers links to a rich cultural past and is increasingly serving diverse recreational interests.”
In two weekends, January 22 - 23, the annual Spokane River Forum Conference will allow us citizens a chance to meet with elected officials, policy makers, resource managers and stakeholders to seek opportunities to create a water future together.
