NFF Ski Conservation Fund

Andrea Shearer

Looking for a way to give back to the forests that we love to ski and snowboard in?
The next time you head to the pass, check out the National Forest Foundation’s Ski Conservation Fund. Under this program, any donations made by visitors at ski areas and lodges will be matched with NFF funding. Those monies are then made available to nonprofit groups for the conservation and restoration of the national forests surrounding each ski area.
The following participating resorts and associated forests are within the USFS (United States Forest Service) Region 6- Pacific Northwest Region:
Mount Bachelor in the Deschutes National Forest
Summit at Snoqualmie in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest
Timberline Lodge and Ski Area in the Mt. Hood National Forest
For a complete list of nationwide participants, go to http://www.natlforests.org/ski_conservation_fund.html .
All donations are voluntary.

Not spending your Sundays on the summit because you’re afraid to miss a minute of gridiron action? Has your team made the playoffs? Don’t worry, you can love football and still help reforest our national parks so they’ll be there waiting for you after football season.
StubHub has partnered with the NFF through their program Tickets for Trees. For every playoff and Super Bowl ticket purchased through StubHub, a tree will be planted in one of our national forests. For further information and ticket purchases, follow this link: http://www.stubhub.com/ticketsfortrees .
