Scanner Traffic — 1/16/09

  • 5:22 p.m. 3 juveniles on bicycles, wearing dark clothing, are creating a safety hazard as they ride along Seltice Way, near Huetter Road.
  • 5:16 p.m. Vehicle with rear end poking onto 4th Street is causing a traffic hazard. A CPD Blue says it’ll be towed unless the driver moves it.
  • 5:12 p.m. ISP Officer: “Dog is up and running on Fairmont Loop again.”
  • 5:10 p.m. Officer @ Highway 95 & M/P 429: “The dog’s been hit.”
  • 5:04 p.m. R/P reports shots are being fired near McGuire Road/Post Falls on the river, as they have been for four days straight. He believes hunters are shooting at geese.
  • 4:41 p.m. A German shepherd continues to elude officers and cause a potential hazard by running into traffic on Highway 95, just south of Blackwell Island. Authorities have fielded 3 or 4 complaints about the dog in the last two hours. Update: Dog, which appears to be injured, is resting near a guardrail about 50 feet for an officer’s car.
  • 4:35 p.m. A woman in an apartment building on Country Ridge/Hayden reports that her female neighbor is threatening to come over and beat her up.
  • 4:34 p.m. A southbound chip truck from Oldtown is smoking from the top and the bottom on Highway 41.
