Playground expense dubious

The Spokesman-Review

Here’s a question for the city of Spokane Valley. How is it that in these belt-tightening times you are spending $1 million on another playground when the county is not plowing our streets next year? I wonder how much snow removal equipment can be purchased for $1 million? Are you sure that more playgrounds is the best use of those funds?

I know some of the money is from the state. But that only tells me about the thought process of Olympia. Don’t tell me that the best use of $1 million in our current budget crunch is more playground toys.

You know I may have just fallen off a turnip truck on my head and this all makes perfect sense.
