Yes on fire levy

The Spokesman-Review

Soon appearing on our ballots is an issue of vital importance to the health and safety of those of us who live in the Valley. Our Valley Fire Department has an outstanding history of commitment to provide a high level of emergency care. The Valley Fire Department has anticipated the growth of our population and reorganized its resources to best ensure that life-saving care can be at our doors within a matter of minutes.

Chief Thompson recently spent a week of intense study with many other Spokane leaders to learn and practice disaster preparedness. This is a good example of the enlightened leadership that runs throughout the officers and front-line EMS providers of our fine Valley Fire Department.

Please vote yes to support this very valuable life-saving service that they provide.

James M. Nania

Medical program director, Spokane County EMS, Spokane
