Extravagance OK now?

The Spokesman-Review

During Obama’s inauguration, several TV commentators remarked that the final cost would be between $160 million and $170 million, with over $100 million from taxpayers. Bush’s second inauguration cost $43 million, with little from the taxpayers, most from private contributions.

The liberal print media, the New York Times, the Washington Post, etc., and the liberal TV media, NBC, CBS, etc., savagely attacked Bush for spending so much money in the midst of two wars and poor economic conditions. Self-aggrandizement, wasteful, senseless were just a few of the attacks.

We are still in the midst of two wars and an extraordinarily severe recession. Not one word of complaint for the huge cost of Obama’s inauguration. Think how many jobs could have been created.
