Track positive stories

The Spokesman-Review

After reading recent articles about Spokane County Raceway, I find it very disheartening that so much effort is put into wanting this facility to fail.

Bucky Austin did not become the successful businessman he is by not paying his bills. But yet that’s what makes front-page news. It would be really nice if this paper would spend a little time on some of the positives of this facility. I know of a young man who races in the junior dragster class who at the age of 2 was diagnosed with a stage-four cancer. His story of courage and perseverance is very uplifting to those who’ve been through childhood cancer.

I challenge this paper to send someone out on July 25 to investigate this story. And I bet with a little more snooping around you’ll find some other pretty interesting people with incredible stories.
