High Noon: Home Alone

Earlier today, a woman named Mary called law enforcement with questions re: leaving a child home alone. I imagine that she was wondering what the appropriate age to leave a child alone. I’m trying to remember when we started leaving our two kids home alone, during their formative years. They both matured quickly. So I’d guess in the 10 to 12 range. I’ll have to check with Mrs. O. The two survived and are doing well. So what do you think?
