PF Man ID’d As Drowning Victim

Initial information indicates that Robert J. Meadows, 49 of Post Falls and Michael J. Kidd, 31 of Post Falls had been at the Carlin Bay Resort and were in route to Coeur d’Alene from Carlin Bay in Kidd’s 1985 sixteen foot Bayliner Capri boat.  About 300 yards north of Arrow Point, Meadows jumped out of the boat.  According to initial statements from Kidd, he threw two different life jackets to Meadows and dove in to help him, but Meadows pushed Kidd away, went below the surface and was not seen again.  The winds were blowing approximately 20 – 25 mph and the lake was very choppy at the time of the incident/ KCSD news release .
