… that now-controversial mayoral wannabe Josh Arnold was seen hobnobbing at length in front of the library, before the City Council meeting last night — with CAVEr kingpin Dan Gookin. In fact, the ultraconservative activists showed up en masse at the council meeting — Gookin, Arnold, Steve Adams, Jim Brannon, Kathy Sims, Sharon Culbreth — Gookin and Arnold in shirts and ties. The scattered out in the audience once the meeting began and didn’t say much. But I’d say that the unofficial campaign season for city elections has begun.
