Without looking would you have known that the mug shot above was taken of former “Three’s Company” actress Joyce DeWitt, after she was booked on suspicion of drunken driving Saturday. NJ.com offers a booking-photo matchup between DeWitt and actress Heather Locklear here . And asks in a poll: Which actress has the worst mug shot.

Question: Can anyone provide a tip re: how to take a good mug shot (in case a Merry Huckster finds himself or herself on the wrong side of the law — and wants to look presentable for front-paging in the local press or on HBO)?
