Nate Silver is a numbers guru who was uncannily close in his polling predictions in the last election cycle. Today he posts a breakdown of the uninsured in McCainocrat districts. Idaho’s District One has 17.2% of its constituents uninsured, a hefty amount. And while Nate correctly observes the district is rural and largely blue collar, he does not take into account the fact these same voters reflexively vote against their self interest.
