Rockland County Sheriff’s Dept. Offiicer Gerrett Clapp lies over his horse Coughlin, after the horse fell when he stepped on a metal plate, Saturday in Stony Point, N.Y.. They were on the East Main Street bridge in Stony Point on their way to the Waldron Revolutionary War Cemetery re-dedication ceremony. Officers at the scene thought Coughlin broke his leg. The distressed Officer Clapp pushed him to the ground to avoid further injury. It turned out only to be a stretched muscle.
