Brower has right tools

The Spokesman-Review

I would like to take this opportunity to express my support of Deana Brower for a seat on the Spokane School Board. My children attend elementary school with Deana’s children and I have worked closely with Deana on our school PTG board. Deana is our current PTG president and has impressed me many times with her dedication to making our school the best in Spokane. She is tireless in her efforts to bring the school community together in support of our school.

We enjoy a diverse community at our school and Deana has the sometimes rare ability to appeal to the entire audience. This is quite a challenge and requires intelligence, tact, diplomacy and perseverance, all qualities Deana possesses.

She is extremely knowledgeable about the issues surrounding school funding, curriculum, teachers’ union, etc. I know many of our parents used Deana as a resource for truth versus rumor throughout the recent levy and bond issue.

As a teacher and parent, I know the future of our schools rests in the hands of educators, not outside “professionals,” and I highly recommend The Spokesman-Review support Deana Brower for this school board position.
