Whole system needs change

The Spokesman-Review

Thank you, Shirley Miller, for “Corporate greed to blame” in Letters July 11. You are so right.

Greedy corporations, corrupt leaders creating wars, corrupt politicians and the party system are to blame. It’s all about money, no matter how they spin it. We are tired of fighting over the crumbs and being sent to war. Let’s turn things around; after all, we are the majority.

Keeping informed and uniting together is the only way it can happen. Refuse to do business with companies that outsource, underpay and mistreat employees. Really, how wealthy do these CEOs have to be? Wars will cease if we refuse to kill. Just say no!

Keeping informed on your representatives is critical. Cathy McMorris Rodgers always votes in the interest of oil companies because they fund her campaign. Cathy voted 98 percent of the time with Bush. That’s not good. Let’s change the elections of our representatives and stop campaign contributions altogether.

Also, the party system should be thrown out. Dividing never solves anything.

Greed, corruption and division must cease within ourselves and worldwide. Let’s stay informed and proactive. Love one another, respect diversity and seek peace and justice in everything you do.
