A turboprop aircraft pulls up at the Coeur d'Alene Airport on Tuesday.  The use of private, corporate or fractionally-owned turboprop and jet airplanes increased after 9/11 and they are a common sight at regional airports.

It’s part of a Bloomberg administration program to keep the homeless out of the expensive shelter system, which costs $36,000 a year per family. More than 550 families have left the city since 2007.
