‘Seven-Ups’: Another great chase scene

Now I’m watching The Seven-Ups,” Philip D’Antoni’s 1973 cop film, which is playing on the Fox Movie Channel. And what’s pretty clear is that the guy racing away from Roy Scheider is same guy who raced away from Steve McQueen in 1968’s “Bullitt.”

That would be, of course, a stunt driver/actor named Bill Hickman .

Strange the things that, years later, get pointed out to you. For the record, Hickman drove a 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville sedan, Scheider a 1973 Pontiac Ventura Sprint coupe.
