Cars held for ransom
Last Sunday’s article by Jody Lawrence-Turner regarding unfair punishment was spot on. My son’s experience can add to it, though.
With driving infraction cases, they can impound the vehicle, and make it so neither he nor I can get it out. Soon the impound fees are more than the car is worth.
Then they sell it at auction (I am ineligible to bid), but he still owes the fees. The cops, judges and tow companies have a profitable thing going here. They should be investigated by the FBI.
