Assessor hasn’t seen news

The Spokesman-Review

What a wonderful surprise I received in the mail yesterday. Great news, Spokane, there are no businesses failing, unemployment is nonexistent, there are no layoffs seen.

Home sales are booming and home prices are increasing at a rate of 10 to 15 percent a year. Auto sales and auto companies are thriving.

There is no recession/depression going on in this country. At least, according to Ralph Baker and the Spokane County assessor’s office. After receiving my assessment for 2009, it confirmed what everyone in Spokane County knows: The assessor’s office has no idea what is going on in Spokane or the United States.

Sleep well tonight, Spokane, our government has everything under control.
