Athol Biker Killed In Prichard Crash
James C. Mitchell, 48, of Athol, was killed Saturday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on Prichard Creek Road, crossed the center line, and crashed into a pickup driven by Michael W. Ellis, 51, of Silverton. The accident occurred at about 1:55 p.m. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither Ellis or his passenger, Ranae Ellis, 45, of Silverton, were hurt in the accident.

INCIDENT INFORMATION: At approximately 1:55pm James Mitchell was west
bound on Prichard Creek road at mile post 4.4 when he crossed the
center line while taking a corner. He lost control of the bike and
crossed directly into the path of the Dodge pick-up. Mitchell was
declared deceased at the scene. Investigation continues.
