Athol Post Retires US Flags
David Harms and Gary Paschke of American Legion Post 149 prepare a flag for disposal during a flag retirement ceremony on Flat Day Sunday at the post in Athol. More than 25 people attended a flag retirement ceremony at the Post 149 on Sunday afternoon. Members of the American Legion and Sons of the American Legion were assisted by Boy Scouts from Athol Troop 218. Several flags were properly disposed of during the flag retirement ceremony.
