Spokane
, Wash. (June 17, 2009) –
MotoConcepts Racing (MCRMX) completed round four of the AMA Lucas Oil Motocross
Championship in Mt. Morris, PA this past weekend with two riders finishing in
the top 20 overall.
Jeff Alessi
led the way for MCRMX with a solid day aboard his CRF450. After qualifying
an impressive 7
th
overall, number 801 went out and had his best moto
of the young season, finishing 9
th
in moto one. The California
native followed that up with a great start in moto two, where he ran in second
place and in the top five for a number of laps. A broken brake lever
prevented Alessi from another top ten and he had to settle for 14
th
in moto two. For the day Alessi finished 11
th
overall and is
now in 20
th
overall.
“Jeff really
showed some speed this past weekend,” stated Team Manager Steve Lamson.
“He was strong in qualifying and had a great start in moto two. We expect
him to continue to have these types of races and be in the top
ten.”
Teammate
Weston Peick did not share in the same fortune as Alessi. Engine problems
kept Peick from the success he has experienced at previous races. Number
631 finished 36
th
overall for the day, but still sits in
16
th
overall for the season.
Tyler Bowers
is still looking to make a move toward the front this season and finished
28
th
in moto one and 25
th
in moto two, for 26
th
overall.
In the 250
class, Vince Friese finished the day in 20
th
overall after a
20
th
place finish in moto one and an 18
th
in moto
two. Friese is now 24
th
overall for the
season.
