Iran lacks subtlety

The Spokesman-Review

I’m not sure whether to fear Iran or to presume that the ineptitude on display as a result of their recent election is a reflection of their ability to build nuclear weapons or wage war.

Joseph Kennedy told supporters of his son, working on the 1960 West Virginia primary, that he didn’t want to pay for a landslide.

Considering how much control the ruling mullahs in Iran are supposed to have over activities there, why would they rig an election to produce a landslide that no one believes? Wouldn’t they have been smarter to take a page from recent Washington gubernatorial elections and produce a squeaker?
