Gookin Lashes Back @ MikeK

On the Coeur d’Alene Press letters to the editor section today, Dan Gookin of OpenCDA.com lashes back on Councilman Mike Kennedy for an exchange they had at the June 16 City Council meeting. Kennedy accused Gookin of grandstanding and accused him of wanting condominiums or other development on the proposed site of the Education Corridor. Writes Gookin: “If Mr. Kennedy wishes to besmirch my character in a public meeting, and place words in my mouth during public testimony, I would at minimum appreciate it if he would do his research”/ Dan Gookin , Coeur d’Alene Press. Question: I’m amused that Gookin & Co. always act offended when a public official has had his fill of their attacks and tactics and calls them out at a meeting. However, if Gookin’s right, do you think MikeK should ap-hollow-gize?
